Our friends, the Henrys, Davenports and Grahams, came over to cheer on the Miss. State basketball team. The Bulldogs won their first game in the tournament..go dawgs! Afterwards they had a jam session playing Rock Band. They go on tour next month...LOL :~)...
Our niece, Hallie, is 5 months old (3/5/08). Lolo, Lola and Mallory went to Mobile last weekend. She's a cutie and growing up too fast!
The Boomers won the NWRAA Reservoir Rage D2 tournament in Brandon, MS over the weekend. Mackenzie was goalie for Saturday's games. She had numerous saves and allowed 1 goal in 3 games. On Sunday she played the forward/striker position. She scored 4 goals during the tournament. All the girls played tough! It was a great weekend for the Boomers!
Actually, we're in the process of moving! We started moving in to our home yesterday. It was a busy day! The painter, the plumber, Best Buy and satellite guy all came by the house. A BIG thanks to Al for helping Billy bring our boxes and furniture from the storage building! Also to Greg and Christian for helping bring in the piano and load from my parents' house. And to Lamar for all our electrical needs...he's the man! It surely was a team effort. And of course the clean up crew...me, myself and I! :~) The girls were in Carthage over the weekend and will be surprised to see the house this afternoon. We've waited a long time for this to happen...we're excited!
And the winner is...Lauren Rogers...2009 Laurderdale County Jr. Miss. Lauren really shined in the field of 11 contestants. We were on our feet cheering as they announced the winner. The girls have someone to look up to and maybe, just maybe one of them will be a Junior Miss too! :~)
